Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Please see below, some of the many exciting events we have planned this term...
Hartpury Village Hall are very kindly helping to arrange a Jumble Sale on Saturday 30th September 2-3pm, with the proceeds raised being provided to Eldersfield Lawn PTFA. Please take any clean, unwanted items which are in good condition directly to the hall during the morning. Entry is 50p.
Thank you in anticipation of your support.
We are delighted to be working with the STEM Challenge team again this week.
Class 3 will benefit from a specialist computing lead to help them problem-solve and create ideas in class as they prepare for a STEM Challenge with other schools later in the year.
As part of pupil leadership and involvement, we now have our new pupil monitors in place for the new school year. These children will help with a range of jobs and take responsibility for different areas of school life.
We will shortly be providing opportunities for children in Class 4 to help lead assemblies and collective worship.
In preparation for this, we will access some online pupil training which has especially been designed to support primary school children through 'Picture News'. These assemblies link well to current local, national and global news as well as British and Christian Values.
Following our previous message in the newsletter and information sharing to the children in assembly, today at 9.00am is the closing date for expressing an interest in becoming one of our Pupil Governors. We are looking for a representative from each year group from Year 1 upwards. Miss Hindle will arrange to meet with our new group each half-term. Please return any letters to school sharing why you think you would make a good pupil governor.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Mrs Rowberry will share information with parents of children in Class 2. This meeting will begin at 3.15pm in the classroom.
Mrs Carolan and Mrs George will share information for parents of children in Year 5 and 6. This meeting will be held in Class 4 at 3.15pm.
The 'Open the Book' team will return this term to deliver weekly collective worship. Volunteers from Class 3 will help to support with drama activities to retell Parables.
Mrs Kelsey and Mrs George will share Reading and Phonics information with parents of new Reception children. This meeting will be held in Class 1 at 5.30pm.
Mr Howard will be leading a welcome meeting for parents of children in Class 3. 3.15pm in the classroom. Please remember this is information sharing for parents, so we therefore ask that alternative collection arrangements are made for your child/siblings NOT to attend. Bookings have now closed for our after school activity clubs, but places can still be booked for the after school provision.
Class 4 swimming lessons begin and these will run until the end of the first half-term. Please remember swimming kit and named school uniform.
