We will share a picture of the new furniture when it arrives via our weekly newsletter.

February 2024

Thank you to the parent volunteers who helped at the Valentine's Disco. Most of the school attended this event! The children enjoyed the DJ's music, games, hot dogs, drinks, sweets and glow sticks!

Uniform Grant

Thank you to Ellen for securing a £250 grant for waterproof clothing for children to be able to access in school.

January 2024

We were delighted to be able to provide all the children with an exciting 'STEAM Rocket Kids Day' at the end of January  which was kindly funded through donations from The Hunters Inn quiz night. The children designed, made and tested their rockets linked to Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths. Thanks to the parents who were able to join us at the end of the afternoon for the rocket launches too!

December 2023

Thank you to everyone for their hard work, time and effort in making the Christmas Fair a wonderful event for our whole school community to enjoy!

A PTFA working party helped to tidy up our outdoor garden areas this month and what a difference this has made! Thank you to the adult and children volunteers who all provided their time on a Saturday morning to help.

Everyone noticed the improvements and the children shared their views...

'The outdoor areas are much tidier now.'

'There is more space and room to walk around the paths and gardens now the bushes have been trimmed.'

'The lavender has been cut back ready for new growth in the spring.'

'The outside areas look lovely! There are lots of nice places to calm down and relax.'

October 2023

  • The PTFA agreed to cover the costs of the new playground marking designs as our project for the first half of the autumn term 2023. Following the collection of pupils' views, we have chosen and confirmed this project work which we expect to be completed during the Easter holidays 2024.

  • Financial support from the PTFA has been agreed to help us re-organise our previous school library space for our project during the second half of the autumn term 2023.

  • Transport costs will be covered to enable all children to attend the Pantomime in Tewkesbury in December 2023.

Thank you for their fund raising efforts so far this academic year!

The classes are making good use of the 50 new dictionaries and thesauruses we purchased to help us upgrade our current classroom resources -thank you to the PTFA for these funds!

The PFTA will be selling Strawberries and Cream, along with Pimms and soft drinks at Sports Day next Wednesday, 5th July. Please note this will be on a CASH only basis. The refreshments will be available from 3.15-3.30pm before the races begin, the again at 4.30pm.

Thank you to the PTFA who have arranged events and fund raising activities for the children and their families throughout the school year.

The King's Coronation event on 5th May 2023 was very well attended. It included a wide range of stalls, a children's activity area, raffle and Tombolas with local involvement from our church and community. Thank you for all the support we received and to those who helped us plan, prepare and run this successful event. A total of £1,634 was raised!

We will use these funds to arrange new playground markings.

Future projects will also be decided upon for the new school year along with the estimated amounts needed for achievement. We appreciate this partnership work which brings benefits to the children at Eldersfield Lawn C.E. Primary School.

Our current focus is on upgrading the playground markings.

We will also be looking to revamp our school library area during the autumn term.

Each Friday through June at home-time collection, ice-creams will be sold on the playground by the PTFA.

Thank you for all your support!
