Welcome to our Governors’ section
Please find below details of how our Governing body is structured, including the names, categories, responsibilities and terms of appointment for each Governor.
Our Chair of Governors is Paul Chichester and our Vice Chair of Governors is Jason Kinghorn.
Our Governors are a vital part in the successful functioning of the school. Their strategic role is threefold:
1] To set the vision and ethos of the school
2] To hold leaders to account
3] To ensure public money is well spent
The Full Governing Body [FGB] meet every half term. Each term, our Resources and Curriculum and Standards Committees also meet and report back at the next FGB at their next meeting. At each FGB meeting, our Headteacher presents a report covering key aspects of the school’s life – this is a prime opportunity for Governors to support and challenge the leadership and wider work of the school. Standing items include Safeguarding, for which every Governors is trained, ensuring the safety and welfare of the pupils is at the forefront of everything we must consider.
From time to time, parent and other governing body vacancies appear, and these are notified through our weekly newsletter.
September 2025

We say a huge 'Thank You' to Canon Rev'd Julie James for her many years of service as a foundation governor and to Lee Brittain for his four years of service as a parent governor.
We also welcome three new parent governors from September 2025 - Harriet Baldwin, Jenny Blades and Mark Evetts.
The following document will be updated to reflect all the recent changes to the governing body for 2025-2026.
Please note, where terms of office for individual governors are showing to have expired, these have been extended.
