Dear Parents and Children,
Thank you for all of the fantastic photos, videos and pieces of work that you have been sending through to the teachers and myself, we have thoroughly enjoyed seeing them. We are all also incredibly grateful for the many thank you cards and posters that you have made and sent in to school. They have really brightened up the staff room.
As I am sure that you are all aware, the government announced that, if scientific evidence indicates that it safe to do so, some year groups may return to school on June 1st. Further guidance was published late last night and we are currently looking at how this provision could look in order to keep the children and staff safe. The year groups mentioned were Reception, Year 1 and Year 6, with the possibility of more children returning before the Summer break. Whilst we are very keen for a return to normality as soon as possible, the safety of our children and staff is paramount, so any potential return is being thoroughly risk assessed and procedures adopted that will ensure that the school environment is as safe as possible. These procedures will be shared with all parents prior to any return to school.
We would really like to start collating a school lockdown cookery book. If you have any photos of you cooking or beautifully written out recipes that you would like to share, please email them to me at head@eldersfieldlawn.worcs.sch.uk and I will add them to the website.
Please continue to look after yourselves and stay safe,
Anthony Dixon-Gough
