We have all been delighted with how well your children have settled back into school now they have completed their first full week. They have all worked hard to maintain the integrity of their bubbles and have understood the importance of the messages regarding hand washing and hygiene.
Thank you to those parents who were able to attend the Zoom last week, I hope you found it informative. Those of you who were unable to access a recording live, can find the recording on the school website.
This week I will set up a step by step guide that will help you to set your child up on Microsoft 365. This is the platform that we will use for remote learning if it is needed.
During our weekly review of our operating procedures, we have made the decision to slightly adapt our collection and drop off arrangements. From this afternoon, we ask that KS1 children are collected from their classrooms, as before, but any KS2 siblings are collected from the back entrance of the staff room. The remainder of KS2 will be collected as normal from the front of the school.
From tomorrow morning, we ask that KS1 children are dropped off to the rear entrance of their classrooms. If KS1 parents enter the school premises through the car park gates, this will alleviate pressure on the front entrance, allow parents and children to remain socially distanced.
I have also received concerns from parents regarding adults standing too close together at the front of the school or grouping to chat outside the school gates. I cannot police all areas and ask that you ensure that you remain at a 2m distance from all other parents and staff members during both pick up and drop off times. It is increasingly important that after your child has been dropped off, you vacate your car parking space to allow other parents to drop their children off. With the new government announcement reintroducing some restrictions, we all realise that this must be managed well to ensure the safety of our school community. We must all take responsibility and help keep everyone safe.
Thank you for your understanding and your continued support.
