Through the National Curriculum for our 5 – 11 year olds and with additional provision for our

responsible members of society living by Christian Values.
2. Develop the whole child in a stimulating environment.

4. Provide an atmosphere which enables the children to be happy and self-confident.
5. Help children to become independent, co-operative, confident and reflective learners.
Our School Ethos
Recognising its historic foundation, the school will preserve and develop its religious
character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the church at parish and diocesan level.
The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian Values through the experience it offers to all its pupils.
Our School Motto
In an attempt to encapsulate our mission, aims and ethos in one succinct, memorable phrase we have inherited a longstanding school motto:
E N J O Y L E A R N S U C C E E D
We continue to use this motto as we are passionate about the need, firstly, to ENJOY all aspects of our work at Eldersfield. In such an environment we endeavor to create a culture in which we can all LEARN most effectively. In turn, this is most likely to allow us to SUCCEED – which can take many forms and varied guises, different for each one of us and, collectively, very ‘powerful’.
We attempt to engender this motto amongst us all: pupils, staff, parents, governors and the wider community too. Acting together towards a common goal with a common vision we are stronger and far more likely to succeed in our mission.
